SWITCHFOOT/JON FOREMAN/FICTION FAMILY NEWS

Well I hate to open this update with bad news, but unfortunately, that's what I have. As you should know, Switchfoot, Paper Route and The Almost were planning a tour this fall... the tour was in the works and contracts were ready to be signed but unfortunately (*sobs a bit*) Paper Route is no longer able to do the tour due to recording conflicts.

Now to clear up, this does not mean that Switchfoot will not still tour - most likely they'll tour with just The Almost instead, but either way they will have a fall tour as per usual.

I spoke to Gavin from Paper Route this afternoon about the tour and he said the following:
Gavin: "The paper route switchfoot thing wasssss for reals. We weren't able to do it because of recording. Buuuuuut I really think we'll tour with them again one day. We're really bummed we cant tour with those guys right now. but we HAVE to finish our album so we can tour nonstop again and see all of you!"
(Here I express my utter devastation at this news - anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE Paper Route fan)
Gavin: "Jeanna, I KNOW I KNOW! We're more bummed than anyone! It's basically tour over the fall and push our record release back or get it done asap so we can tour all next year... tough decision for sure."
(I express further regrets, and share how Switchfoot has been playing Paper Route tunes through the speakers before their set.)
Gavin: "Jeanna, that's awesome, really wish we were playing with them"

75% of the LOBH staff is in deep mourning over this - as Lisa says, "I'm destroyed by this!"
Pardon me while I go put on some sack-clothe and ashes and mourn this news properly.


In a bit of happier news, the guys are continuing their summer tour tonight, which means LOTS of updates will be coming this way soon. Until then though, we're going to mix up the update with a Bro-Am photo special... these Bro-Am photos just recently found their way into our inbox so we thought we'd take today to share them with you all!
