Q. What percent of what you know about switchfoot do you NOT tell us?
A. Hmmm... interesting question. I'd say about 40%.

Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, which switchfoot guy would you want with you?
A. What a fun question! I, Jeanna, am answering this one, so I'll guess for Nicole and Stacee. Nicole would probably say Romey because he's her favorite. Stacee would probably say Tim. For practical purposes, I'd say Chad.

Q. Out of curiosity, how did LOBH get to be a dot-org site?
A. When we first decided it was time to buy a domain name, we discovered that landofbrokenhearts.com was taken. Then Phil (Switchfoot website dude) suggested we buy the .org address instead. We thought that was a good idea, so we purchased it. A year later, landofbrokenhearts.com became available, but after a lot of thought, we decided to stick with .org... we don't want to confuse the fans!

Q. What is the weirdest thing you have been asked concerning switchfoot???
A.Great question! We've been asked some really, really random questions. It's amazing what people will think we will tell them. Probably the weirdest thing we've been asked would be when someone asked us if the guys in Switchfoot wore boxers or briefs... and what brand they wore.
Yeah. That was... awkward.

Q. Hey guys!! I TOTALLY LOVE this site, and particularly the Fan Zone (of course), and the Switchfoot Mentions areas. Where did you guys find all of the mentions of Switchfoot, just, like, really thorough web surfing, or is there a specific place?? Once again, LOVE the site!!!
A. First, we are glad you love the site! It's good to know you are enjoying it!
We get our Switchfoot mentions several different places... some are taken directly from our own interviews. (Check out the LOBH Exclusive Interviews section on the All About Switchfoot page). Others we found in magazines, articles, interviews, podcasts, videos, etc. Just all over really! If you ever need a source for a specific Switchfoot Mention, feel free to drop us an e-mail and we'll try to link you up.

Q. hey what happened to the past updates? i am looking everywhere! like if i wanted to see an update from 2 months ago, do you have them on the site? please let me know!! thanks!
A. Scroll down to the end of the current update. You'll see a VIEW ARCHIVED ENTRIES link. Click that!

Q. How do you know so much about Switchfoot?
A. Well the truth is, when Jeanna, Nicole and I aren't updating the site, we spend the majority of our time stalking Switchfoot.*
Yes, it gets rather costly, and yes, the long hours required on the road are tiring, but I must say it is well worth it.
(Just for the record, Tim has breathed 230974 times so far today)
*Note sarcasm dripping from text

Q. Where did you get the pictures that are on the layout for the gallery? Could you add them to the gallery?
The photos were taken by the incredible photographer Jeremy Cowart. We can't upload them to the gallery, as they are exclusively Jeremy's images, but we can point you to the website where you can see all the photos from the shoot for yourself! Go here: JeremyCowart.com and click around in the music section. You'll find a few displayed!

Q. First off...thanks a bunch for making this site! It gives me the info I need of the band and I have met some really cool people off of the tag board.
So here is my question: do you guys know the band or was this just a spontaneous thing to do?

A. Stacee and I became friends through myspace, and over the course of our Switchfoot famdom, we obtained a lot of knowledge about Switchfoot. Other Switchfoot fans would contact us, asking us about the latest Switchfoot news, facts and exclusives, so we thought to ourselves "You know we have all this knowledge...why not make a site where fans can easily access Switchfoot info AND get the latest news on Switchfoot all in one convenient location?"
It wasn't really spontaneous, Stacee and I had both been thinking about making a SF site for a few months before we mentioned it to each other.
And yes, we know the guys in Switchfoot now, though we didn't when we first started the site!

Q. I really like this site! So I was wondering... How long have you guys been Switchfoot fans? Because I've been a fan for a long time and I don't know as much as you guys do. Is that because you have been fans for a long time? And are you (Stacee & Jeanna) guys like sisters or something? Or just like best friends?
A. Hey Sarah! First off, I'd like to say "thanks"! It makes us very happy to know that you are enjoying the site!
Now where to begin...
Jeanna & I are rather new Switchfoot fans, believe it or not. We have each been a fan for a little over three years now. Nicole has been a fan for about 2 years.
And as far as we know, we are in no way related... (although the question as to whether we are "clones" or not is still up on the air)
We met about a year ago through MySpace and are I guess what you could call "best internet friends." We have never met in real life though.

Q. How do you find people like Tim Palmer and the director of the Yuppie Words video? Do you have some kind of access that we do not? (I think it's great that you get to talk to them, by the way.)
A. In short: we work for the FBI.

Q. Do the guys ever look at your wonderful website?
A. Thanks for saying it's wonderful! (good to know we aren't the only ones who think that *winks*)! Yes, they do visit LOBH often and they say they love the site. They are very supportive and Tim even tells us that his Mom checks the site to keep updated on the latest Switchfoot happenings.
Thanks Switchfoot!

Q: What's the story behind you guys getting the video clips from Jon's camara phone? Did he just send them to you with out you asking or how did that come about? Great site, by the way!:)
A. We stole Jon's phone. It's as simple as that.
Ha ha okay I'm kidding. Jon used to post videos from his (new at the time) camera phone on the official SF website back in the NIS days. I had a feeling they wouldn't be around for too long, so I saved them all to my computer. Time went by and soon the videos were no longer available.
We didn't want this piece of SF history to be lost, so we uploaded them all for you here!

Q: Why is the site called land of broken hearts? Sorry about my stupid question:)
A: Hey that's not a stupid question! Chad actually asked the same thing. The phrase "Land of Broken Hearts" comes from the Switchfoot song 'Golden' (off Nothing Is Sound). Near the end of the song, Jon sings, "You're a lonely soul, in a land of broken hearts and you're far from home, it's the perfect place to start."
When Stacee and I talked about starting a Switchfoot fan site, we wanted to name it after a line in one of our favorite Switchfoot songs. We made a list of our favorite songs off NIS and after kicking around several other titles (such as Screaming Without Lungs) we finally settled on Land of Broken Hearts. And that is the story of how LOBH came to be LOBH!

Q: How many SF shows have you been to and have you always had the chance to talk with them afterwards? Also, what happens when someone asks you a SF question on here that you can't answer? Do you ever use these post-concert chats to ask the guys?
A: It's different for each of us. So far, Nicole has been to 20 shows (don't you just hate her?), I've been to 4, and Stacee has been to 2.
And yes, we are always able talk with them afterwards.
There have been several times where someone asks a question that we don't know the answer too. When we talk with the guys at shows, we normally use these chat times to catch up with the guys and see how everyone is doing, but sometimes depending on the importance of the question, we will ask them about it. Sometimes we simply post that we don't know.
That happened when someone asked what the guys' favorite colors were. We posted that we didn't know and said that who ever went to a concert next should ask the guys. After reading that, several of our boardies went to a show and asked the guys for us, then relayed to us the answer.

Q. When you have LOBH interviews with people, do you have phone interviews, or do you actually sit down with them?
A. You name a communication method, we've done it! ha ha okay not really. We used different methods, but if at all possible, I try to avoid phone interviews. It's to hard to accurately transcribe what is being said.

Q. Hey love your site! Just wondered if the guys are creationists or evolutionists?
A. Interesting question! Stacee and I are both creationists.
I don't have enough faith to believe in evolution.
