Name origin: 'Golden' off of Switchfoot's Nothing Is Sound CD.
"You're a lonely soul in a land of broken hearts, and you're far from home, it's a perfect place to start." We wanted to name the site after a lyric from one of our favorite Switchfoot songs, and after discussing several other lackluster titles, we decided on Land of Broken Hearts.

ABOUT Land of Broken Hearts is an unofficial fansite dedicated to our favorite alt-rock band, Switchfoot. The gallery houses over 2,000 images and is growing all the time. We offer hundreds of media downloads, and the very latest Switchfoot news and exclusive information. We also have an active message forum with over 400 members. We strive to bring you an informative, fact-filled, regularly updated fansite, without being intrusive to Jon, Tim, Chad, Drew and Jerome's personal lives.
HOW WE STARTED We both became Switchfoot fans after we heard The Beautiful Letdown, but it wasn't until we met on myspace that things started to happen. After Nothing Is Sound released, our love for Switchfoot's music grew, and after searching around the web a bit, we discovered that there were no regularly updated Switchfoot sites out there. So we decided to remedy that. We created the site in April of 2006 and officially opened it in September of 2006. The site grew rapidly and now boasts nearly a million hits and has become the largest, most comprehensive Switchfoot fansite online. LOBH is also visited by the Switchfoot guys, which makes us truly proud!
Almost two years later, we continue to maintain and run the site with the help of Nicole (our fellow staffer), ~Cassie~, ~Daisy~ and Goodnight Punk (our forum moderators) and Clifton (our media master).
