HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY LOBH!; Switchfoot climbs the iTunes charts; Daily Foots; Switchfoot e-mail; PRESS PRESS PRESS!
It's September 1st which means... it's LOBHs 4th Birthday! That's right 4 years ago today, LOBH opened it's doors for the first time - crazy things have happened since that time and we couldn't be more grateful to the Switchfoot guys for their wonderful support and encouragement, and to you guys, the fans who keep visiting, keep encouraging, and keep spreading the word!
We've always said we have the best site visitors in the world and the wonderful community on here is proof of that. The respect you all show for each other and the genuine care is truly motivating and we're honored that we can play some small roll in bringing you all together.

LOBH started out as a simple website run by Stacee and myself. It was pretty small and dinky back in those days (and I don't even want to talk about layouts - yech!) but you guys stuck with it and liked the little site for some reason. And today we've grown to an award winning site that is THE LARGEST Switchfoot fansite on the web. This wouldn't be possible with out over 17,000 of you guys who visit this site monthly (On a site note, August was a record high for us - over 20,000 unique visitors.) so again, we can't thank you enough!

We always like to have a little fun on our birthday and challenge you guys to a "HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT LOBH" quiz! Some of you have only been with us a few months and some of you have been with us since the beginning (Yeah I'm looking at you Celloist!) so don't worry if you don't get the answers right - it's all in fun! Challenge yourself HERE and good luck!

To view last years birthday post, our dove award and special 3rd birthday message from the guys, click HERE.

We love you guys! Enjoy the rest of the updates!
- Jeanna

SWITCHFOOT/JON FOREMAN/FICTION FAMILY NEWS

Switchfoot's LIVE ITUNES SESSION is blowing up on iTunes (and with good reason!)

The album is currently #26 on the TOP ALBUMS CHART on iTunes and #6 on the TOP ALTERNATIVE ALBUMS CHART.

As a result, Hello Hurricane has surged as well! It currently sits at #79 on the TOP ALBUMS CHART and #16 on the TOP ALTERNATIVE ALBUMS CHART.

Even better? The popularity of the release has given the guys 7 (count 'em!) songs on the TOP ALTERNATIVE SONGS chart.
14. Your Love Is A Song
62. Dare You To Move (iTunes session)
101. Your Love Is A Song (iTunes session)
111. The Sound
123. Learning to Breathe (iTunes session)
161. Your Love Is A Song
162. Only Hope (iTunes session)

If you haven't bought the release yet, you should definitely consider it! We've heard a number of fans say they weren't going to buy the album at first, because it's "just live recordings" but once they heard the tunes they were blown away. These are really some STELLAR performances from the guys, and they've added some awesome new elements to the song (How much do you guys love the intro to Your Love Is A Song?) so get the release today! Buy it HERE.
Also, don't forget to review and rate the album, as that will really help boost the album up the charts.

The Sound was the #1 Most Requested Song on KROQ for the second week in a row!:
Even though Stryker is busy taking a deserving week off, he still sent us his list for his #1 picks for the week. Stryker’s #1 Most Requested Song is “The Sound” by Switchfoot.

NEW MERCH
New t-shirts just arrived in the store. If you couldn't make it to Bro Am this year, now is your chance to pick up a sweet t-shirt! We have sweet new hoodies and tees!

SUMMER RECAP
Where do we begin? So many amazing events happened this summer and we couldn't be more thankful! From playing festivals across the country and overseas to sharing the stage with bands like Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Phoenix, and more! It's been amazing!

Kicking things off was the 6th annual Switchfoot Bro Am! With over 8,000 in attendance, this was by far the most successful year to date. All proceeds benefitted StandUp for Kids.

This summer was full of touring and gave us the opportunity to meet so many new people! Our experiences touring with The Goo Goo Dolls, performing on the beach at the US Open of Surfing and hanging in Chicago for Lollapalooza have been unbelievable.

We're also very excited to play Austin City Limits coming up this October alongside amazing bands like Band of Horses, The Flaming Lips, The Strokes, M.I.A. and tons more!

Stoked to see everyone at our shows this fall!

This is the sound, and thanks for listening.
